Spuds Tear it up at ironcross!

Scotti, Uncle Larry, Dan, Scroggy, Kirk and Paul laid down good enough individual times at Ironcross to win 3rd in the team competition. Way to go Spuds! Scotti Green, our newest Spud, finished in under 5hrs to claim 7th in the Single speed class. Scotti is the man. We won a case of the Miller High Life for our efforts. Yuk! Who wants it?

7 Springs 24 hour race

Mechanical ? WTF !! Raced the Springs for years on geared bikes. NEVER a mechanical!!

Put the SPUDS on a SS and the bikes fall apart. This Pic Says it all. The SPUDS were behind some ones ass for the entire race.

1st place Bean Eaters !, 2nd place SPUDS ! 3rd place Guy's ! All the BEST to those who raced and supported. Not bad for SPUDS on SS.

Gutbuster Re-scheduled

After some serious thought I have decided to reshcedule the Gutbuster. I am not sure of a date yet but keep checking the site for updates. The trails at Scroggs are not fully ready for a quality event and the newly dozed parking lot is still very muddy. I am looking at Saturdays in May and even considering a friday evening event with bonfire. Like I said keep checking in for updates and sorry for being so wish-washy but I want to make sure it is a quality event.

Gutbuster 2010 - Saturday April 10th!

Gutbuster is on for 2010! I hope. It all depends on the weather and how Scroggys trails hold up. Keep checking back to the Spud Racing blog site for updates and directions as we get closer to the day. Initial plans - 20-30 minute time trial - perfect warm for Fairhill, beer tent, eggs and lots of fun, super tech trails. Keep posted!

Spud Jersey part4

Here is the most recent design I am trying to make everyone happy in one way or another.

The front will be green and the back orange. That solves the color issue...I hope. I made the sponsor logos smaller and on only once. I agree with UL...The spuds were founded as a grassroots type team and we should continue to carry that tradition. However, Lupine and Soul have been very generous to me and others on the team. Make sure to ask me the next time you need parts. I can get you them at wholesale prices. So...All I need is to get a fit kit. Let me know your thoughts and if everyone is OK with the current option I will get the kit for us to pick sizes.

Spud Jerseys - part 2

Here is the revised jersey. We have room for another sponsor if anyone wants to try and get one. Spud Linds had some good ideas for some minor changes. Also, Spud Randy requested long sleeves as well. I would definitly want both. I would like to order Louis Garneau Carbon Ion Jerseys. They are like the Holmes shirts we have and are super nice. They are expensive: $86.00 for short sleeve and $99.00 for long. Let me know what everyone wants. we have a 12 piece minimum. I am getting 2 short and 1 long. Any other suggestions are welcome and lets get a meeting together soon.
